Manage It! Book Status

Manage It, project management

I am happy to report that Manage It! is at the printer, both the book and the cover. We’re looking sometime in June as a ship date. Just thought you’d want to know :-)

Maybe I’m asking a stupid question that’s already been covered (I’ve only recently been paying attention to your blog), but will there be a PDF edition available? Why no beta book?

Graeme,
It’s not a stupid question at all. Yes, there will be a pdf available. (I think it comes out a couple of weeks (?) after the print book.)
The reason we didn’t do a beta is because I “finished” the book. I finished the entire first draft, not just 2/3 of the first draft. Sometimes authors get stuck partway through a book, and reader comments help them see what else to put in–or remove.
I didn’t have any problem putting in everything I needed to put in, but I did have to rewrite the first 3 chapters several times. (I stopped counting after the third time.) That’s why I put “finished” in quotes above.

Ah, gotcha. I’m just really keen to get hold of the book because I’ve been put in the position of managing a team (kinda happened by accident, since I’m a developer, though I’m really enjoying the new challenge!) and I want to know how to do it right!
